Malvern Library: Marking a Trail of Women's History
Robyn Young will be speaking about many important women in Pennsylvania’s history and her efforts in obtaining historical roadside markers for them. She will show slides of the markers installed throughout the state.
Young is a women's historian dedicated to sharing women's history with the general public. Through her efforts since 2002, Young has received approval from the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission for 25 roadside historical markers honoring women throughout Pennsylvania.
Known locally as "the Marker Lady," Young is the author of "Women in Penn's Woods: A History of Women in Pennsylvania." Young's book received a Preservation in Publication Award from the Heritage Commission of Delaware County. It will be on sale after the event.
