Community Composting Continues

Malvern Borough will continue to support Borough residents who have an interest in having their household compost collection processed by Back to Earth Composting. You do not need to be a prior participant in the Composting Pilot Program as we’d like to open this opportunity up to any resident that holds an interest in making an impact by way of composting!

While the curbside pickup program has ended, Malvern Borough Residents can participate in compost bucket ‘dumping’ by bringing a 5 gallon (or smaller) bucket to the Malvern Farmer’s Market on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month. A member of the Back to Earth Compositing Team will be onsite at the Market to collect and ‘dump’ buckets at no charge to Borough Residents (normally a $5 fee per bucket).

We ask that each household dump no more than one bucket per Saturday.

Please reply to this email as soon as possible if you’d like to participate and include your Full Name and Current Address.

We appreciate your efforts in making our Borough a little greener!

The program will officially start on May 4.  You MUST reply to malvern@malvern.org  with your info by the 25th of the month, in order to participate in the following month's drop offs.   Back to Earth will have a list of Borough residents who have signed up and will need to check you off prior to participating.

If you have any questions about Back to Earth Composting, chat with them at the market or check out their website: https://backtoearthcompost.com/
