“Forgotten Founding Fathers:Pennsylvania and Delaware in the American Revolution”
with author and historian Gene Pisasale

Join us on Tuesday, June 18th as we welcome author and historian Gene Pisasale who will be speaking about his book, “Forgotten Founding Fathers: Pennsylvania and Delaware in the American Revolution.”

This lecture explores the foundations of our republic, with a special emphasis on the key roles that ten men from Pennsylvania and Delaware played in our struggle for liberty and creation of our system of government. These individuals were active in this grand drama, framing the debates as signers of the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution, hands-on participants in events which helped form “a more perfect union.”

Learn about how Pennsylvania and Delaware were the building blocks for the young Republic. Founders such as Robert Morris the financier, John Dickinson the principled statesman, Thomas Fizsimons, forgotten patriot, and many, many more helped our young republic in its early hours. Delve into the background of these local founding fathers and get to know what drove them and what special gifts of theirs they used to help found our fledgling country. Get a better understanding of these Founders right before the birthday of our country.
