Malvern Fire Company

Malvern Fire Company is the appointed fire and ambulance service provider for Malvern Borough. The Malvern Fire Company operates five (5) pieces of Firefighting Apparatus and five (5) pieces of Emergency Medical Apparatus. More information is available on the Malvern Fire Company’s website.

While Malvern Borough and the other municipalities make annual contributions to the Malvern Fire Company as part of the budget, the primary source of revenue to fund these operations are payments from insurance companies and donations.  There is no special fire tax assessed in Malvern Borough that funds the Malvern Fire Company.  Donations are received through varies fund raising endeavors, such as their annual golf outing and the Malvern Fire Company Fair every July.

The current Fire Chief is Jim Rapp and the EMS Chief is Keith Johnson.  In addition to servicing Malvern Borough for both fire and ambulance service, Malvern Fire Company provides primary fire coverage to a section of Willistown Township and provides ambulance services to portions of Tredyffrin, East Goshen, East Whiteland, Charlestown, and Willistown Townships.  In 2018, the Malvern Fire Company responded to 570 fire calls and 2,358 emergency medical calls. A coverage map is below.
