Borough Manager

Sandra (Sandy) hails from Plymouth, PA, a suburb of Wilkes-Barre in coal country.  She moved to Malvern in 1955 and entered second grade at the “Little Red Schoolhouse”, the current home of the Borough Administration Offices in McGuigan Hall. (Her current office was her fifth grade classroom!)  Sandra is a graduate of the Great Valley School District and the Philadelphia School of Office Training. Sandra is widowed and has one daughter, Kelly, from a previous marriage, and three grandchildren – Valerie, Ashley and Paul.  She loves spending time with them, and is also an avid reader of mysteries. Sandra remembers growing up in Malvern at a time when you walked down the street and you knew everyone’s name.  Although there have been many changes over the years, the one thing that hasn’t changed is the small-town feel and sense of community.  Malvern was a wonderful place to grow up -- walking to Church and to school, walking to friends homes after dark, and not being afraid (except when running by the cemetery) -- to raise children, and to come back “home” to.
