The
Borough staff consists of the Manager; Treasurer; Code Enforcement
Officer (Building Inspector / Zoning Officer / Code Enforcement); two
part–time clerks; a Superintendent of Public Works and four
skilled laborers; and a Chief of Police, Sergeant, three full time
officers and five part time officers, and an Administrative Assistant.
During the summer, we also employ part time public works employees
to help with the maintenance of our public parks.
The staff is dedicated to serving the Malvern Community. Residents are encouraged to phone, email, or write with questions or concerns they may have.
Administration
The Mayor and Borough Council appoint the following officials to undertake the day–to–day operations of the Borough: Borough Manager, Chief of Police, Treasurer, Solicitor, Engineer, Code Enforcement / Zoning Officer / Building Inspector, Zoning Hearing Board Solicitor, Planning Commission Solicitor and Emergency Management Coordinator.
Commissions and Boards:
Borough Council also appoints the members of the following Planning Commission, Park and Recreation Committee, Shade Tree Commission, Zoning Hearing Board, Civil Service Commission, Historical Commission, and Vacancy Board.
The Borough Administration, Police Department and Public Library are all housed in what was originally Malvern’s “little red schoolhouse”. Our facilities are handicap accessible and include an elevator. The Police Department is housed in the basement of our facility; the Malvern Public Library is located on the first floor of the building; and the Administrative offices and meeting facilities are on the second floor.
