DECLARATION FROM MAYOR BURTON
In response to the COVID-19 virus outbreak effecting the region, Mayor David Burton has declared a Local Disaster Emergency. The intent of this declaration is not to alarm, but rather as a measure to improve our government’s ability to manage novel coronavirus transmission and minimize COVID-19 in our community. We are now in the most critical time of this pandemic, in that we have a window of opportunity to proactively mitigate the disease. This declaration is to ensure that the residents and business owners in the Borough of Malvern will have all the assistance that is needed during this time of national emergency. BOROUGH HALL CLOSURE
Effective immediately, as a caution to the COVID-19 virus and at the recommendation of the Chester County Health Department, Borough Hall is closed to the public until April 13, 2020. The Malvern Public Library will also be closed during this time. Essential services, such as those provided through the Borough administration, emergency services, and the Public Works Department, will continue at this time.
Individuals paying tax and/or sewer bills during this time are encouraged to mail in payments or place payments in an envelope in the dropbox located on the exterior of Borough Hall.
