The project consists of approximately 2,400 linear feet of 4” pipe to replace an existing sewer forcemain. The new pipe will be installed by Horizontal Directional Drilling which creates the least amount of disruption to the surrounding area. There are also several precast concrete structures that will be installed with this project. DVUC crews have been out there already, diligently locating existing underground utilities using Vacuum Excavation technology which uses high pressure air to break up the soils and a large vacuum to extract the soils. This keeps the utility from being damaged.
